"Village Gold" Is More Than A Gift Certificate, It's A Partnership
It is with great pleasure that I begin my tenure as president of the Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce for 2009. Under Past President Alice Womack, the Chamber has made great strides.
The Chamber acts as the collective voice of Mountain Brook's business community and seeks to promote and encourage business development in our City. Our mission is to "provide an environment to help our members prosper and succeed through a proactive working partnership with the business community, city government and the community at large". Our membership is comprised of individuals, small businesses and large corporations, and I encourage anyone and any business with an interest in our City to join our Chamber.
Many of our most visible programs are the Chamber sponsored community events held in our Villages throughout the year. The very popular holiday and spring/summer events continue to grow each year. Our event schedule along with our meeting schedule is published in all Chamber newsletters.
We all benefit from a successful business community in our City. Tax revenues and the services provided by a successful business community benefit us all.

Village Gold Certificates are redeemable at almost every business in Mountain Brook and make a great gift while supporting your community at the same time. Village Gold can currently be purchased at Mountain Brook City Hall during normal business hours and at the Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce office at 32 Vine Street. We hope to make it available for purchase on-line soon. A list of participating businesses is available from the Chamber or at City Hall.
