Bambinelli's Italian Cafe in English Village offers Wall Street specials

Bambinelli's Italian Cafe in English Village is taking a cue from Wall Street and offering five weekday specials to customers for whom the lunch hour is more like a half-hour.
 
  "I worked on Wall Street, and we had to get a customer in and out in 30 minutes," Bambinelli's catering manager Johnny Cola says. "So I wanted to bring that to the Birmingham area."
 
  The five featured lunch dishes include pasta marinara, pasta with meat sauce, eggplant al fresco, lasagna and a soup of the day with a tossed salad. Each comes with garlic bread and a beverage, and the pasta and eggplant dishes also come with a house salad. The price is an even $10, including tax.
 
  "We are focused on keeping it super simple and exceptionally fast," Cola says.
 
  Lunch hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
